It didn’t take long for one Juneau man to realize what everyone else at Gastineau Human Services already knows: The halfway house has a bed bug problem.
The Glacier Manor resident, who did not wish to be named, woke up about two weeks ago with his arms and legs covered in red bites.
“It’s horrible,” he said, pulling up his shirt sleeve and revealing a number of bites.
He pointed to his thigh. “I’ve got them on my legs. I’ve got a patch right here,” referring to his other hand, which he can’t help but scratch throughout the day. “I’ve got various little ones all over.”
