The only sound coming from this saxophone is silence.
Juneau police believe someone stole a tenor saxophone from Floyd Dryden Middle School.
The school’s band teacher reported the expensive $2,500 Aristocrat instrument as “missing or stolen” last Friday, and it still hasn’t turned up, police say.
“It was reported about a week after it went missing, so now it’s been close to two weeks,” Juneau Police Department spokeswoman Erann Kalwara said by phone Friday. “So we’re operating under the assumption it was stolen.”
