Police & Fire for Sunday, June 10, 2012

Assault


• At 12:33 p.m. Thursday, Elizabeth Shorty, 74, was arrested in the 100 block of Franklin Street on one count of fourth-degree assault and two counts of reckless endangerment. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• At 3:55 a.m. Friday, a 48-year-old woman reported she was assaulted by a 47-year-old man in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.


Criminal trespass


• At 4:09 a.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a report of criminal trespass in the 8600 block of Dudley Street.


• At 8:45 p.m. Friday, a 22-year-old woman reported a 46-year-old man trespassed in her apartment in the 300 block of Distin Avenue.


• At 7:01 a.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a report of a 50-year-old man trespassing at the Wells Fargo in the 100 block of Seward Street.


Disturbance


• At 4:49 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a disturbance in the 2800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road and arrested James Manuel Mota, 19, on charges of criminal mischief, three counts of reckless endangerment and reckless driving. He was taken to LCCC.


Domestic violence


• At 4:39 p.m. Monday, a 20-day domestic violence protective order needs to be served on a 47-year-old man.


• At 5:52 p.m. Monday, a 20-day domestic violence protective order was served on a 24-year-old man.


• At 12:48 a.m. Friday, a 29-year-old woman was arrested for domestic violence assault, and she was taken to LCCC.


• At 7:49 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated a report of a domestic violence assault.


• At 7:49 p.m. Friday, a 17-year-old boy was arrested for felony domestic violence assault, and he was taken to Johnson Youth Center.


• At 11:08 p.m. Friday, a 30-year-old woman was arrested for domestic violence assault, and she was taken to LCCC.


Driving while license revoked


• At 8:07 a.m. Tuesday, charges are being filed on a 19-year-old woman for driving while license revoked.


Driving without a license


• At 9:53 a.m. Saturday, Chad David Edwards, 37, was cited for driving without a license in the 700 block of Ninth Street, and his vehicle was impounded.


Drunken driving


• At 4:20 p.m. Thursday, Robert Michael Paradis, 52, was arrested on Glacier Highway for driving while intoxicated, and his vehicle was impounded. He was taken to LCCC.


Driving under the influence


• At 10:42 p.m. Friday, Eric Butler, 42, was arrested in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. His vehicle was impounded.


• At 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Karri Anne Dayton, 27, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on Thunder Mountain Road.


Fire and medical


• At 2:04 a.m. Thursday, basic life support care was given to a woman on ‘F’ Street, and she was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.


• At 2:05 a.m. Thursday, advanced life support care was given to a minor on Gull Way, and he or she was taken to BRH.


• At 9:16 a.m. Thursday, basic life support care was given to two male patients on Egan Drive outbound during a motor vehicle accident with injuries, and they were taken to BRH.


• At 10:31 a.m. Thursday, Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to a public service assistance call on Renninger Street, and assisted a person into a private residence.


• At 10:42 a.m. Thursday, basic life support care was given to a man on Egan Drive, and he was taken to BRH.


• At 10:46 a.m. Thursday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Marine Way, and she was taken to BRH.


• At 11:50 a.m. Thursday, a woman was taken from BRH to Juneau International Airport and medevaced out.


• At 12:47 p.m. Thursday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Fifth Street, and she was taken to BRH.


• At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Willoughby Avenue. No fire and alarm was activated maliciously.


• At 3:42 p.m. Thursday, a man was medevaced to JIA and taken to BRH.


• At 4:04 p.m. Thursday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Mendenhall Mall Road, and she was taken to BRH.


• At 5:34 p.m. Thursday, basic life support care was given to a woman on 12th Street, and she was taken to BRH.


• At 8:38 p.m. Thursday, CCFR assisted moving a person within his residence on Glacier Highway.


• At 8:57 p.m. Thursday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Side Court. No fire and alarm was activated maliciously.


• At 9:07 p.m. Thursday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Willoughby Avenue. No fire and alarm was activated maliciously.


Motor vehicle crash


• At 10:26 p.m. Monday, a 31-year-old man was taken to the hospital after the motorcycle he was operating crashed. The motorcycle was impounded for safekeeping.


• At 1:20 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash in the 4800 block of Glacier Highway. No injuries were reported. The first vehicle was driven by a 24-year-old woman, and the second vehicle was driven by a 34-year-old man. There was an estimated $7,000 in total damages.


• At 12:28 a.m. Saturday, Bobby Ray Hunt, 21, was arrested after a motor vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Glacier Highway for driving while intoxicated, reckless endangerment and a probation remand after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a roll over accident. No injuries were reported. His vehicle was impounded.


Service


• At 12:12 p.m. Monday, JPD forwarded a case for conditions violations in the 100 block of Franklin Street.


• At 7:14 p.m. Thursday, a 23-year-old man was served a summons in the 200 block of Front Street.


Theft


• At 1:38 p.m. Monday, a 67-year-old man reported a handgun stolen from his residence in the 8800 block of Gail Avenue.


• At 4:04 p.m. Monday, a 60-year-old woman reported a stolen purse in the 100 block of Seward Street.


• At 10 a.m. Tuesday, a 47-year-old woman reported medication stolen in the 3200 block of Foster Avenue.


• At 11:11 a.m. Tuesday, Michael Joseph Montero, 39, was arrested in the 1800 block of Glacier Highway for fourth-degree criminal mischief, theft and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was taken to LCCC.


• At 1:02 p.m. Thursday, a 52-year-old woman reported a bicycle was stolen in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.


• At 5:03 p.m. Thursday, Althea Marie Williams, 31, was cited and released for larceny in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.


• At 1:52 a.m. Friday, a 38-year-old man reported $3,000 in cash stolen in the 3600 block of Amalga Street.


• At 10:20 a.m. Friday, JPD documented the theft of funds in the 2200 block of Trout Street which was handled civilly.


Vandalism


• At 3 p.m. Friday, a 42-year-old man reported the passenger window on his vehicle was broken in the 400 block of Third Street.


Welfare check


• At 7:16 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a request for a welfare check on a 50-year-old woman in the 8600 block of Teal Street.
