Police calls for Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018

Assault

• At 11:27 p.m. Friday, the Juneau Police Department cited and released Brett Padilla, 41, in the 100 block of Shattuck Way for violating conditions of release.

Burglary

• At 11:13 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 3000 block of Clinton Drive to investigate the report of a burglary of a business. Investigation continues.

• At 11:26 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 8100 block of Keegan Street to investigate the reported burglary of a residence. Investigation continues.

Domestic violence

• At 3:24 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the reported violation of conditions of release in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

• At 4:01 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the reported violation of a protective order in the Juneau area.

Drug misconduct

• At 6:30 p.m. Friday, JPD conducted a confidential drug investigation in the 5200 block of Commercial Boulevard.

Drunken driving

• At 2:51 a.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Shelley McKinley, 33, in the 300 block of Whittier Street for driving under the influence and driving with a revoked license. McKinley was also charged with refusal to take a breath test and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Sex crime

• At 4:38 p.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a sexual assault in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

• At 11:40 a.m. Sunday, JPD investigated a sexual assault in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 4:03 p.m. Friday, JPD arrested Mayabess Brown, 31, for second- and fourth-degree theft. Brown was taken to LCCC and her car was impounded.

• At 4:41 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 5700 block of Concrete Way to investigate the report of a theft of a wallet. Investigation continues.

• At 5:03 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 2500 block of Scott Drive to investigate the report of a 63-year-old woman who reported a theft from her home. Investigation continues.

• At 7:58 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 9400 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a theft. Investigation continues.

• At 1:27 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 11400 block of Auke Bay Harbor Road to investigate the report of a 60-year-old man who reported his bike as stolen from Statter Harbor.

• At 10:38 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 300 block of Meander Way to investigate the reported theft of fishing equipment.

• At 11:36 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 200 block of Franklin Street to investigate the reported theft of a purse from a bar. Investigation continues.

Trespassing

• At 8:55 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 5600 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of criminal mischief and trespass that occurred near Lemon Creek. Investigation continues.

• At 3:38 a.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Fuapauna Sua, 27, in the 200 block of Front Street for criminal trespass. Alcohol was a factor. Sua was taken to LCCC.

Vehicle rifling

• At 8:50 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 200 block of Marine Way to investigate the report of a 21-year-old woman who reported her vehicle had been rifled and multiple items had been taken.

Wildlife violation

• On July 28, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Juneau resident Joshua Schuon, 38, for not having a personal use permit. He was also issued a strict liability citation for limitations on halibut. Troopers found that Schuon had retained personal use sockeye salmon but did not have a personal use permit as required. Troopers also found that Schuon had halibut that had been disfigured or mutilated in violation of NOAA regulations. The halibut was seized and later donated to a charity.
