The Juneau Douglas High School Theater Department will present “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” a broadway musical comedy based on Charles M. Schulz’ “Peanuts” comic strip, for the next two weekends, April 29 through May 6.
The production, directed by Michaela Moore, opens Friday at 7 p.m. at the JDHS auditorium.
Lead roles include Aaron Abella as Charlie Brown, Ellen Dyar as Lucy Van Pelt, Wesley McEwen as Linus Van Pelt, Zeb Bodine as Shroeder, Shanae’a Moore as Sally Brown, Aria Moore as Snoopy, and Macrina Erickson as Woodstock.
Auditorium manager Bo Anderson, former carpenter for Perseverance Theater, designed and built the set, and Julie Dyar created the costumes. Shanae’a Moore choreographed the show, and JDHS alumnus Emily Smith (class of 2010) is the accompanying pianist.
Performances are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30 and May 5 and 6, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1.
