State Poetry Out Loud finals to be broadcast on 360 North

The Alaska State Poetry Out Loud finals will premiere on 360 North at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4. Check local listings for additional broadcast times.

This year’s state winner, Lakiedra Chavis from Lathrop High School in Fairbanks, is in Washington D.C. this week for the national finals. Both the semifinals — 53 competitors — and the national finals — the top 9 — will be webcast live as they happen, Thursday and Friday, April 28 and 29.
