“All That Glitters: Images from the Alaska Gold Rush,” is now on view at the Anchorage Museum. The exhibit uses historical photographs from the museum’s archives to tell the stories of fortune hunters who stampeded to Alaska in the hope that The Last Frontier would offer them wealth, adventure and a second chance. In the end, few got rich, but many found solace in Alaska’s majestic landscape, and some even found new place to call home.
This exhibit will be on view through Sept. 2.
