Seattle-based musician Randy Hansen will perform the music of Jimi Hendrix at Marlintini’s this Friday, June 24, beginning at 9:30 p.m. Opening act will be local band Chrome Forest.
In addition to covering Hendrix tunes, Hansen plays original songs that emulate Hendrix’ style of composition. He’ll be joined on stage by Rick Spano on drums and Kevin Adams on bass.
Hansen, whose music was featured in the 1979 film “Apocalypse Now,” recorded his first album in 1980; his most recent release, “Electric Church” was recorded live in Cologne Germany, and features 20 Hendrix covers from “Hey Joe” to “Foxy Lady.” He currently tours throughout the states and in Europe.
Tickets are available at the Aurora Projekt downtown and at Marlintini’s Lounge. Admission is $15.
