Poetry and hip hop unite at Latinos

Poets and rappers will share the stage at a joint event to be held Friday, June 24, at Latinos, the first in what may be a series.

Featured poets will be Christy Namee Ericksen, Mike Christenson, Douglass, Kayo Kate Laster and Pete Musto. Rappers will be Big Mano, True Eyes (formerly of WOlf Pack), the Tlingit Poet, Prophet, TBone, Lance Mitchell, Jessica, and Jaden Sierra (of Punchline Entertainment).

Music will be provided by DJ Manu.

Attendees must be 31 to attend, or 18 with a parent. Admission is free.

The event begins at 9 p.m. on the main floor of Latinos, on S. Franklin St.
