The Juneau Symphony has announced the winners of their 2011 travel raffle. The winners, announced June 11, were:
Grand Prize, seven-day cruise with Princess Cruises: Marian Schafer, ticket #80
First Prize, two Alaska Airlines tickets: Mary Ann Dlugosch, ticket #161
Second Prize, Northstar Trekking glacier trek: Russell Strandtmann, ticket #1322
Third Prize, trip to Gustavus: Bev Anderson, ticket #1065
Fourth Prize, Temsco helicopter tour: Larry Walsh, ticket #1048
Fifth Prize, Mt. Roberts Tram pass: Joe Donohue, ticket #964
The symphony extends their thanks to everyone in the community who contributed to the raffle fundraiser, especially prize donors Princess Cruises, Alaska Airlines, Northstar Trekking, Wings of Alaska, The Homestead B&B, Temsco Helicopters and Goldbelt Inc. The success of the raffle was due in large part to their generous donations and long time support of the symphony.
The raffle is the symphony’s largest fundraiser and without it their season would not be possible. The symphony raised over $20,000, which will all go toward providing performance and learning opportunities for local musicians of all ages.
