The Alaska State Council on the Arts and Alaska Humanities Forum are now accepting nominations for the 2011 Governor’s Awards for the Arts & Humanities.
Awards distinguish individuals or organizations that have served the humanities and arts in Alaska in notable ways.
Recipients of the 2010 Governor’s Awards included Juneau residents Tom Manning, honored with an Arts Education Award, and Paul Rosenthal, honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. A total of nine awards were given.
