JUNEAU — Strange Attractor Theatre Co., presents the second phase of their current play-in-development, The Brand Project (working title). This work-in-progress showing will occur on Perseverance Theatre’s Second Stage during the second weekend of August.
A release from the theater company stated they are excited about releasing this play in this stage of development. The play first came to life in April at Perishable Theatre in Providence, R.I. research and development lab.
Next spring, the company will meet again in Providence to perform the world premiere of the finished performance.
In The Brand Project (working title) Phase II, Strange Attractor company members push off from the dock on a search for forest trolls, only to stumble upon a curious hovel.
Past performances from Strange Attractor Theatre Company have been described as “performance theatre at its most innovative and participatory level.” The audience should expect “a dark fever dream” accompanied by laugh-out-loud humor.
While Strange Attractor is in Juneau, they will be teaching a workshop in physical theatre in conjunction with Perseverance Theatre, according to a release. The company will also be performing in the first show of the Perseverance season, “The 39 Steps.”
The Brand Project is being developed through support from The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, the Alaska State Council on the Arts, Providence Provision and donors from Strange Attractor Theatre Company’s kick-starter campaign.

The Brand Project (working title) Phase II will be shown at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 11, 12 and 13 in the Phoenix, Perseverance Theatre’s Second Stage, 914 Third Street in Douglas.
