City of Saxman seeks traditional arts instructors

The City of Saxman is seeking accomplished artists to teach traditional Alaska Native arts to youth and children, as part of an arts program sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Areas of instruction could include (but are not limited to): regalia making, song and dance, drawing and design, carving, weaving, gathering and preparing subsistence foods.

Interested parties should submit a resume, description of prior teaching experience, and/or photos of samples of artwork to the City of Saxman, either in person at 2706 S. Tongass Avenue, by email to saxmangrants@kpunet.net, or via fax to 907-225-6450.
