Minnesota-based band Dead Man Winter to perform tonight

Dead Man Winter, a Minnesota-based band, will be in Juneau to perform one show, tonight at 8 p.m. at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center. The performance is a benefit for Juneau Trail Mix.

Dead Man Winter, a five-piece country-rock band, is made up of three members of the bluegrass band Trampled By Turtles, who performed in Juneau last year and whose album “Palomino,” has spent more than 88 weeks on the Billboard Bluegrass Chart Top 10. Dead Man Winter singer Dave Simonett is front man for both.

Dead Man Winter released their debut album of 11 original songs, “Bright Lights,” on Aug. 16. They have appeared at festivals ranging from Coachella to Telluride and are set to play the Newport Folk Fest.

Admission is $20, and tickets are available at the JACC, jahc.org, and at the door.
