Wearable Arts registrations due Jan. 9

Registrations for the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council’s 2012 Wearable Arts extravaganza, Fusion, are due on Jan. 9.

This event, directed by Flordelino Lagundino, is open to artists of any media.

Applicants 15 years of age and older will be asked to pay an entry fee of $35. The fee helps fund cash prizes for the People’s Choice Awards, handed out at the Sunday show.

Artists can register online at www.jahc.org. The deadline is 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9.

“Fusion” will be presented at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 with a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Feb. 12.

Tickets are now on sale to members of Juneau Arts and Humanities Council and regisered artists; they will go on sale to non-members on Jan. 16. Sales are brisk, so audience members are advised to buy their tickets
