LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women. This season, the program of nine films — filled with stories of reflection, hope and humor — will travel to over 150 cities. Each year, various organizations bring LUNAFEST to their communities and raise funds for local non-profits. LUNAFEST will return to Juneau this year, hosted by the Juneau Pro-Choice Coalition. There will be a silent auction in addition to the film festival, with proceeds benefitting breast cancer research.
The festival will take place Friday at Centennial Hall with the silent auction beginning at 6 p.m., films beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $10 each at Hearthside Books or from JPCC volunteers, or for $12 at the door.
