Two back-to-back Gold Street music events are planned for this weekend. First, the regular Gold Street monthly concert will be held on First Friday (instead of Saturday). Featured musicians will be Cayenne Blue, a 6-piece band; Cheryl Cook, Kathy Hocker and Jill Sandleben; bluesman Pat Henry; and guitarist Mark Heard; and Old Time Tune Circle. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Resurrection Lutheran Church and the cost is $5.
The next night, the Glacial Erratics will play a fundraiser for Buddy Tabor. The band, made up of two local musicians (Betsy Sims and Martha Scott) and two from Whitehorse (Kim Barlow and Andrea McColeman), first starting playing together in 1993. This show will be a special reunion performance.
