Glacier Valley to honor its community partners

On Wednesday, March 14, Glacier Valley Elementary School will honor its community partners with an all-school event beginning at 9 a.m. at the school. The event celebrates the school’s partners that fund arts-integrated experiences for the school’s students through the Art is Elementary and JAMM (Juneau Alaska Music Matters) programs.

At the event, Glacier Valley teachers will demonstrate lessons integrating the arts including drama, movement, music and the visual arts. Students will exhibit artwork, play music and showcase their dance moves with a culminating ballroom dance performance under the direction of artist-in-residence Pat Belec.
