Wildlife Wednesday series continues with two book-related lectures

The Alaska Wildlife Alliance will host two Wildlife Wednesday lectures in March, both of which combine wildlife and books.

First up, on March 14, Jay Beedle, Jayleen Beedle and Mark Kelley will present “Whales & Bears” at 7 p.m. at the UAS Egan Lecture Hall. After the lecture the trio will sign copies of their book, released last spring, called “Alaska’s Watchable Whales.”

Next, on March 28, Emily Wall will present “Communities of the Wild: Poems & Stories,” at 7 p.m. in the Glacier View Room, Egan 221/222, and then sign copies of her second book of poems, “Liveaboard.”

Both lectures are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
