April Mudrooms moves to Tuesday night, one week early

April’s Mudrooms event will be held one week early and on a Tuesday in order to avoid conflicting with the Alaska Folk Festival, and to give those who can’t come on Wednesday nights a chance to attend. It begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in the sanctuary space at the Church of the Holy Trinity.

Speakers for April include Kirk Hardcastle, Kate Troll, Ben Lyman, Clint Farr, Andre LaRue, Phoebe Rohrbacher and Rich Moniak. The featured musician will be Brooke Morgan.

The last Mudrooms event of the season will be held May 9 in McPhetres Hall. The lineup for that night’s performance is currently full, but those who would like to participate in fall Mudrooms events should contact Amanda Tatter Kulik Compton through www.mudrooms.blogspot.com.

Mudrooms is a community-powered monthly event where real people tell real stories. Based on Anchorage’s Arctic Entries series, Mudrooms was created by Amanda Compton and Alida Bus.

Audio from previous Mudrooms events is available at www.mudrooms.blogspot.com.
