Petersburg extends call for Wearable Art pieces

Organizers of Petersburg’s 2012 Wearable Art Extravaganza, scheduled for April 14 and 15, have extended a call to regional artists for submissions of their previously shown work for the show. All pieces need to be in Petersburg by April 6, at the latest.

Artists who are willing to travel to Petersburg with their piece will be assisted with lodging when possible. Those unable to travel may send their wearable art pieces through the mail, or possibly by air or by ferry. The mailing address for submissions is: KFSK, P.O. Box 149, Petersburg, AK, 99833.

All pieces will be returned as soon as possible via ferry, Alaska Airlines, or U.S. postal service.

Entry fees are waived for all regional artists loaning their work. Organizers will help find models for out-of-town submissions.

All proceeds from the wearable art show go to supporting community radio in Petersburg.

Entry forms are available on-line at

For more information, contact Suzanne Fuqua of KFSK at, or by phone at 907-772-3808.
