Graceman to perform national anthem at Mariners' game

Anna Graceman, the 12-year old singer-songwriter from Juneau who wowed the entire country with her performances on ”America’s Got Talent,” is gearing up for her next major national appearance. She will be singing the National Anthem at the beginning of Friday’s Seattle Mariners opening night game against the Oakland Athletics at Safeco Field. Game time is 7:10 p.m., with the pre-game ceremony expected to start at 6:30 p.m. Though the game is not scheduled to be broadcast on local cable, Juneau audiences can watch it streamed live online through the Mariners’ website at

Graceman was a frequent performer at the Alaska Folk Festival through 2009, before her voice began to garner national attention. That same year, she appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” as 9-year-old Anna Grace.
