Wristrockets to play upstairs at the Viking Saturday

Kari Groven and the Wristrockets will be performing Saturday night at the Viking (upstairs) on April 28, beginning at 10 p.m.

The band — Groven on vocals, Mike Bucy on trombone, Dale McFarlin on drums, Chris Frary on bass, and Jason Caputo on guitar — plays a mix of funk, blues, rock’n roll, reggae, R&B, Norwegian folk, and anything danceable.

Rumor has it that a group of Southeast Swing dancers, from Juneau’s swing dance community, might be making a mass invasion that night (flash dance?), but Groven said the dance floor will be big enough for all.
