Perseverance Theatre will premiere “Bigfoot and Other Lost Souls,” their last mainstage production of the season, opening May 4. Directed by New York artist Elizabeth Lucas, this production features local Juneau performers Salissa Thole, Patricia Hull, Jerry Demmert, Allison Holtkamp, Erika Rothchild, Ryan Curley and Rick Silaj. The cast also includes four professional actors from Anchorage and the lower 48: Rachel Landon, Eric Cover, Keith McCoy and Enrique Bravo.
The story involves Bernie Bernstein, who, while writing a documentary on Bigfoot, comes into contact with a range of characters, including a Bigfoot expert and his wife, two FBI agents and a fugitive Weatherman.
Parents should be aware that this show contains adult language and themes.
Music and lyrics are by Tony-award winning composer Mark Hollmann, and the original story is by Adrien Royce. Steven Gross and Rob Cohen lead the singers and the band. Art Rotch, Akiko Nishijima Rotch, Rory Stitt and Christina Rumery round out the design team.
“Bigfoot and Other Lost Souls” runs from May 4 to May 27 with performances Thursday through Sunday at 7:30 p.m, and a closing 2 p.m. matinee Sunday, May 27.
