Mudrooms wraps up first season with Secrets

Season 1 of Mudrooms will come to a close next week, with Secrets, to be held May 9 at McPhetres Hall. Featured speakers will be Michael Levine, Becca Braun, Charles Rohrbacher, Carolyn Bergstrom, Angelo Katasse, Rep. Ron Clarke and April Rebert.

Mudrooms, which debuted last fall, is organized by Amanda Compton and Alida Bus, who modeled the series on Anchorage’s Arctic Entires. Like Arctic Entries, Mudrooms features local speakers who share personal stories with their community. Each month’s event is based on a specific theme.

The series will be back in October, on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. Those interested in participating should contact Amanda Compton, at

Proceeds from the May 9 event will go to The Polaris House. All season 2 profits will be donated to The Imagination Station, a program that provides free books to children up to age 5.
