June poetry slam to be held at Latinos

This month’s Woosh Kinaadeiyí Poetry Slam & Open Mic will be held at Latino’s Restaurant, 109 South Franklin St. downtown on Friday.

Woosh Kinaadeiyí is a monthly open mic and poetry slam open to writers and performers of all ages and abilities. Performers are invited to come share poetry, songs, and talents, or listen and cheer folks on. The winner of the poetry slam takes home $25 cash. Bring three original poems to compete in the Slam.

Sign up starts at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m..

Woosh Kinaadeiyí is hosted by Nahaan and Christy NaMee Eriksen, and features DJ Manu on the turntables.
