The Alaska State Library, located on the 8th floor of the State Office Building, has opened an art exhibit by local artist Averyl Veliz. The exhibit, titled “A Klondike Tale,” is a working story treatment for a proposed animated feature film that describes how Tlingit spirits react to the effects on their habitat during the Klondike Gold Rush.
The exhibit will be on display at the State Library until Aug. 30.
Veliz also currently has a solo show on exhibit at the Juneau Douglas City Museum, “A Klondike Tale: A Juneau Perspective.”
