With this stand-alone photo feature, the Empire’s Arts & Culture section welcomes reader-submitted images of art in unusual or unexpected places. Photographers of all levels of ability are invited to send in images of natural or urban subjects that they find artistically inspiring or intriguing — especially those that are hidden, natural or accidental in origin. Subjects could include everything from a rock cairn to cloud formations to peeling paint to the patterns on a telephone pole. The less obvious the better.

Submit images to amy.fletcher@juneauempire.com.
