JAHC to offer Mosquito Market this weekend

The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council has organized an Alaskan-style flea market this Sunday, Aug. 26, in the parking lot between the JACC and Centennial Hall. Named in recognition of Alaska’s peskiest pest -- and the dearth of fleas -- the Mosquito Market will take place rain or shine from noon to 4 p.m.

in lieu of vendor booths, sales will take place directly from sellers’ cars in the parking lot. Vendors will get parking slots on a first-come-first-served basis, beginning at 10 a.m., and pre-registration is highly recommended. Sign up online at www.jahc.org, or call 586-2787. A total of 50 slots are available. Market sellers will need to take all of their unsold items with them at the end of the day.

A registration fee of $5 will be collected.

For more information, call 586-2787.
