Symphony to host wildlife cruise this Saturday

On Saturday, Sept. 1, the Juneau Symphony will host their annual fundraiser, a Wildlife Cruise with Kyle Pickett. Passengers will enjoy wildlife sight-seeing on board an Allen Marine catamaran while Symphony chamber musicians perform throughout the three-hour cruise.

This year’s musicians will be Lisa Ibias, Allen Engstrom, Gou Hua Xia, Tyree Pini, Franz Felkl and Kyle Pickett.

Guests on board can also enjoy complimentary wine tasting provided by Specialty Imports and sample a variety of hors d’oeuvres.

The catamaran begins boarding at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Don Statter Public Boat Harbor in Auke Bay. The cruise will sail promptly at 2 p.m. and return at 5 p.m. Tickets are on sale now through Friday at Hearthside Books and the JACC box office. If cruise is not sold out, additional tickets will be available at the Don Statter Public Boat Dock from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday.
