First Barn Dance of the season set for Saturday

The 23rd Annual Barn Dance season gets underway this Saturday, Sept. 22, at St. Ann’s Parish Hall, 5th and Gold Streets downtown. It runs from 7:30-11 p.m.

Tom Paul will call contra and square dances to live old time and bluegrass flavored music played by Gerry Fiscus and Friends. All dances are taught and no experience or partners are necessary. Free ice cream will be offered at the break. Admission for adults is $8, AFF and JIF members pay $7, and students and Seniors $5. SAGA, JVs, and VISTA get in free.

Subsequent Barn Dances are scheduled for Oct. 27, Nov. 23, Dec. 15 and Dec. 31.
