Juneau Rollergirls to take on North Pole this weekend

The Juneau Rollergirls are back for their second season of roller derby. They will be taking on Babes in Toyland, an up-and-coming league from the North Pole, on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Centennial Hall. The bout starts at 7 p.m. and the doors open at 6:15 p.m. A no-host bar will be provided by the Rendezvous; attendees must be 21 or older or with a parent to attend.

Tickets are available online and at Hearthside Books, Rainy Retreat Books and the JACC, and are $20 in advance, or $22 at the door. The league will donate 5 percent of proceeds to a local non-profit.
