"Creating Story" to be the focus of October's Improject

The focus of this month’s Improject will be creating stories. Hosted by the Canvas and organized by Morally Improv-erished, the Improject offers an open workshop in improvisational skills followed by an improv show in which anyone can register to perform.

At 6 p.m., Eric Caldwell will host Creating Story, a workshop that teaches the basics of unscripted storytelling and how to incorporate story into larger works. The workshop is open to performers of all levels, and no previous experience is necessary.

At 8 p.m., an Open Court performance will be hosted by Morally Improv-erished. Anyone interested in performing can sign up at 7:45 p.m. Non-playing audience members are welcome and strongly encouraged.

Both the workshop and the Open Court performance are free of charge, with donations to The Canvas recommended.

The Improject is held every second Friday at The Canvas.

For more information, call Caldwell at 209-8958 or the Canvas, 586-1750.
