Beginning this weekend, the Canvas will offer a Halloween-themed ceramics class led by Louise Kuntz-Tadda, Halloween Pottery: Scare Ware. During the two week hand-building class, participants can create a ceramic jack-o-lantern, haunted house, ghost, or another project. The class is suitable for all ages, and young children and adults are encouraged to come and work as a team. The cost is $55 including materials. Halloween Pottery: Scare Ware will be held on two Saturdays, Oct. 20 and 27, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Later in the month, the Canvas will host a Halloween Party, with events including a carnival, scary campfire story telling for kids led by Tom Manning, and a screening of “Beetlejuice” in the gallery.
The party runs from 2-10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26.
