Perseverance Theatre will open its second season of plays in Anchorage this week with John Steinbeck’s classic, “Of Mice and Men.” Directed by Artistic Director Art Rotch, “Of Mice and Men” runs Friday, Oct. 26, through Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.
The production stars Kevin T. Bennett as George and Bostin Christopher as Lennie, as well as Dick Reichman, Jerry Demmert, Roblin Gray Davis, Alicia Hughes-Skandijs, Brandon Demery, Corin Hughes-Skandijs, Bryan Crowder, and Charles Branklyn.
In addition to Rotch, the artistic team includes Matthew Allar, Dans Sheehan, Valerie Snyder, Erik Chadwell and Rick Silaj.
Anchorage performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday with a 4 p.m. Sunday matinee. There will be one pay-as-you-can preview on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available through CenterTix.net or by calling 907-263-ARTS (2787).
Perseverance Theatre was founded in 1979 in Juneau. Last year, the theater launched the initiative to begin performing a season of plays in Anchorage as a resident company in the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.
