This month’s Mudrooms live storytelling event will focus on the timely theme of gifts. It will be held Wednesday, Dec. 12 at the Holy Trinity sanctuary, beginning at 7 p.m.
Each Mudrooms event features seven-minute personal stories from seven people on a monthly theme. It is not a theatrical performance, but real life stories from members of the Juneau community.
This week's storytellers will be Teri Camery, Mark Ridgway, John Hutchins, Ariel Lyon, Sue Ellen Tatter, Kate Troll and Deborah Smith. Music will be performed by Martha Scott. For those interested in signing up for a future Mudrooms, there is currently one spot left for January's event and plenty of room in the remainder of the events through May. Upcoming themes include domesticity, monsters, near death experiences and something fishy.
Mudrooms, hosted by Amanda Compton and Alida Bus, is now in its second season. One-hundred percent of Season 2 profits will be donated to the Imagination Library.
Admission is $7 cash at the door.
