F Magazine's statewide Youth Art & Writing Competition deadline is Jan. 20

For the third year, F Magazine is hosting a statewide Youth Art & Writing Competition. Creative teens in grades 7-12 are invited to submit work in a number of categories of art and writing through the deadline of Jan. 20.

As with prior years, winners will be published in a special issue of F Magazine, have their art work curated in a gallery and read before an audience by actors and professional readers. Winners will also be offered scholarships and airfare to Sitka Fine Arts Camp.

49 Writers will jury the writing entries, and artist and UAA art instructor Jimmy Riordan will oversee the judging of art entries.
