JDHS theater's production of 'Annie' continues

During a surprise visit to Warbucks' mansion, President Roosevelt (Robert Newman) reveals who Annie's true parents are and tells about his "New Deal" to save the American economy. Megan Wright plays Annie (second from right) and Ellis Notmeyer plays Daddy Warbucks (far right).

The Juneau Douglas High School Theater Department will present their second weekend of “Annie” this weekend, Feb. 22 and 23 at 7 p.m.

The cast includes Megan Wright as Annie, Ellis Notmeyer as Daddy Warbucks, Madison Truitt as Grace, Cheyenne Siverly as Hannigan, Ben Krall as Rooster, Brita Fagerstrom as Lily and Robert Newman as President Roosevelt.

All proceeds from the production will go towards the JDHS Theater Department’s trip to Scotland as part of the Festival Fringe, a world-famous arts festival held annually in August, and a great honor for the school.

Tickets are available at Hearthside Books, the JACC, online through jahc.org, from any cast member and at the door. Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for seniors, and $10 for students if purchased in advance, and an additional $2 at the door. For more, visit www.jdhsdrama.com.
