Spring Break Cedar Bark Weaving for Youth class offered in Ketchikan

Ketchikan’s Totem Heritage Center is currently accepting registrations for their Spring Native Arts Studies Program class, “Spring Break Cedar Bark Weaving for Youth,” offered Monday through Friday, March 18-22, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Ketchikan.

Kids ages 10-18 are invited to learn traditional Northwest Coast Haida-style cedar bark weaving with instructor Holly Churchill. Students will learn and practice weaving techniques while creating their own projects, and will also gain insight into Native Northwest Coast culture.

Registration may be done over the phone by calling 225-5900, or by emailing annf@city.ketchikan.ak.us for more information.
