Ketchikan’s Totem Heritage Center is currently accepting registrations for their Spring Native Arts Studies Program class, “Spring Break Cedar Bark Weaving for Youth,” offered Monday through Friday, March 18-22, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Ketchikan.
Kids ages 10-18 are invited to learn traditional Northwest Coast Haida-style cedar bark weaving with instructor Holly Churchill. Students will learn and practice weaving techniques while creating their own projects, and will also gain insight into Native Northwest Coast culture.
