Summer Arts Institutes 2013 announced

The Alaska Arts Education Consortium has announced their lineup of arts education learning opportunities this summer. AAEC will offer two, 2-week Basic Arts Institutes and one week-long Special Topics Institute: Alutiig Cultural Arts.

Basic Arts Institutes, first offered in Juneau in 2003 and now offered statewide, are two-week intensive summer opportunities for educators to learn how to use the arts to motivate and increase student learning. This summer’s Basic Arts Institutes sessions will be held in Sitka from June 2-14, in collaboration with the Sitka Fine Arts Camp, and in Nome from July 28-Aug 9.

The Special Topics Institute, Alutiig Cultural Arts, will be held in Kodiak from May 28-June 4.

Registration for all three is required.
