Out and about on First Friday

The March First Friday Art Walk was a busy one, featuring new work from dozens of local painters, including David Woodie and Arnie Weimer, as well as a group photography show at KTOO, a community-wide art show at the city museum, and a standing-room-only lecture by photographer Ben Huff at the state museum.

The Franklin Street Gallery at the Baranof hosted their last opening in the temporary gallery space, with a large-scale local show the five owner-artists plan to keep up through April.

Most First Friday exhibits remain on view through the entire month; if you missed the openings last weekend, you’re not too late.
