Perseverance seeks Alaska Native actors for new Hope play, spring production

Perseverance Theatre is seeking Alaska Native men and women to participate in a reading and workshop of a new play by local playwright Ishmael Hope. The workshop runs March 25-30 in the evenings.

The theater is also seeking an Alaska Native male actor aged 40 or older to audition for the mainstage role of Horsepower, a town elder and medicine man, in the world premiere of Marcus Gardley’s “the road weeps, the well runs dry.” This production opens May 3 in Juneau.
