Theatre in the Rough's 'Equivocation' continues through March 24

Theatre in the Rough’s spring production, “Equivocation,” continues this weekend at McPhetre’s Hall, with shows continuing through March 24.

Directed by Katie Jensen, the play centers on a fictional Shakespeare who has been commissioned to write a play promoting the government’s version of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Written by Bill Cain, the play premiered in 2009 at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and has not yet been widely performed.

A pay-as-you-will performance is scheduled for March 14, at 7:30 p.m. Regular performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Matinees are March 17 and 24, at 2 p.m. Tickets are at the JACC, Hearthside, Rainy Retreat, at the door and
