Gold Town to host International Fly Fishing Film Festival

The Goldtown Nickelodeon will host the first annual International Fly Fishing Film Festival (IF4) next week, March 26, beginning at 7 p.m. Organized by Trout Unlimited Alaska Program, America’s Salmon Forest, and Juneau Fly Fishing Goods, the film festival showcases short and feature-length films about flyfishing, produced by professional and amateur filmmakers from around the world. This year’s selections inlcude Southeast Alaska’s own “The Last Salmon Forest.”

Tickets are $15 at Juneau Fly Fishing Goods (in the Senate building downtown), or at the door if still available, and all proceeds go to aid efforts to conserve high-quality salmon and trout spawning and rearing habitat in the Tongass National Forest.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. The event includes door prizes and a cash raffle for items of fly fishing gear.
