Theatre in the Rough’s spring production, “Equivocation,” will have its final four performances this weekend at McPhetre’s Hall, with a closing show at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24.
Written by Bill Cain and directed by Katie Jensen, the play features Theatre in the Rough co-founders Jensen and Aaron Elmore, as well as local actors Hadassah Nelson, Grady Wright, Becky Orford and Zeb Bodine.
The artistic team, in addition to Jensen includes Elmore on set and costumes, Aubrey Finch-Hyphen on lights, Natalia Spengler on run lights and sound, Phil Schempf on pillar construction and Carl Brodersen on sound (as well as photography).
The story centers on a fictional Shakespeare who has been commissioned to write a play promoting the government’s version of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605.
Regular performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. Sunday’s matinee begins at 2 p.m.
