Jeff Brown plans April Fool's Day broadcast

Juneau jester Jeff Brown has been celebrating April Fool’s Day in print for more than 20 years through The Juneau What and REAL Alaskan Magazine. this year the KTOO program director will return to his radio roots to celebrate this holiday with a radio broadcast, National News of the Nation, at 3 p.m. Monday, April 1, on KTOO-FM. With the help of more than two dozen co-conspirators, Brown will take aim at politicians, authors, and even a national monument, attempting to cash in on listeners’ sense of belief that they’re listening to a real news program.

The half-hour program will be augmented by classic radio humor from Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks, The Firesign Theatre and Ken Nordine.
