Registration for this summer’s Juneau Fine Arts Camp begins next week, April 1. The camp, which offers art classes in a variety of media, is open to children entering Kindergarten through sixth grade, and is offered at Juneau Douglas High School.
Participants can sign up for the whole month, or just a week or two, and can choose from the morning session, 9 a.m.-noon, the afternoon session, 12:30-2:30 p.m., or a full day of art. Pre-camp care will be also be available.
Some of the classes that will be offered include instruction in puppetry, clowning, formline design, carving, face painting, paper-making and collage, repurposed fabrications, woosh k spoken word, drawing, painting, music, jewelry, ukulele, knitting, science, storytelling through dance, archery, juggling and cooking.
This year’s camp director is MK MacNaughton.
