Downtown library to host question and answer session with children's book writers, illustrators

A group of local children’s book writers and illustrators will be hosting a question and answer session on the chidlren’s book world this Saturday at the downtown library. Among the hosts will be Stefanie Tatalias from Anchorage, the Alaska Regional Advisor for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and local writers Sarah Asper-Smith, Susi Gregg Fowler, Ann Boochever, and Peggy McKee Barnhill, plus local illustrators Mitch Watley and Jim Fowler. The assembled panel will talk about their experiences in the children’s literature field in the large conference room at the downtown library from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 6. Tatalias will also provide information on the SCBWI group.
