Thunder Mountain High School will close its 2012-2013 theater season with the family musical adventure “The Wizard of Oz.”
Shows will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, and will continue next week, Thursday through Saturday, April 11-13, at 7 p.m.
The cast of 25 includes Sarah Penrose as Dorothy, Tierney Shipley as the Scarecrow, Andrew Rainey as the Tin Man, Kieran Poulson-Edwards as the Cowardly Lion, Savana Carroll as the Wizard, Amalie VonBenzon as Glinda the Good Witch, and Alora Pilgrim as the Wicked Witch of the West. The production is led by senior Erin Krogstad as Company Stage Manager, and the technical crew of 12 includes Tesla Cooper (ighting), Lizzie Scharen (sound), Nika Denali (props) and Brianna Helton (fly captain).
Director and TMHS teacher Barbra Jo Maier takes the cast through the pages of the children’s book by L. Frank Baum with the help of TMHS music teachers Tyree Pini and Brian Van Kirk, choreographer Ricci Adan and costume designers Cecilia Eggers and Rick Silaj.
